PowerView® Curtain Track Transceiver¶
1. Mounting the Forest Curtain Track¶
The PowerView® CT Transceiver dongle is suited to be used with the Forest Shuttle® system.
1.1 Installation of the track¶
Assemble the track (according Forest instructions.)
Install the brackets to the wall or ceiling and fix the track onto the brackets.
Do not attach curtains until after end positions have been set or complete installation is finished
- Position the master carrier(s) into the half open position.
Attach Forest Shuttle motor to the track.
- Position motor-drive-head into the track-gear.
1.2 Connecting power and communication¶
Connect the AC or DC power plug to the Forest Shuttle® motor power socket. (Do not plug into the wall socket)
Mount Transceiver dongle to the side of the track motor
Connect data cable between PowerView® Transceiver and Forest Shuttle® motor (Input: Com Port2)
Connect the AC plug of Forest power supply to the wall socket.
2. Programming the Curtain track¶
2.1 Setting and adjusting end limits of the Shuttle® motor¶
After power up of the Shuttle® motor the open and close positions are to be referenced by the Shuttle® S/L/M motor receiver.
Before starting the programming-proces, make sure the track master carrier(s) are in the open position.
Setting the motor direction and close limit By pulling the master carrier towards the closed position the motor direction is automatically detected. The master carrier will automatically travel towards the closed end position.
Setting the open limit when the closed position is reached that end limit is set. to set the open limit pull the master carrier towards the open position. the carrier will automatically travel towards the fully open position and the open end limit will be set accordingly.
Stack Back Upon reaching the fully open position the carrier will stop (yellow LED4 is on. see step 2.2.4 ). Now the stack back position can be adjusted by hand. When the master carrier is not moved for 10 seconds the LED4 will turn off indicating the open limit has been set.
2.2 Re-adjusting the End limit positions¶
When needed, (e.g. adding extra carriers) the end positions can be changed. To do so, please follow the next steps.
Move the curtain to the open position
Press Button 4x with a pen or other pointy object
LED moves from 1st > 2nd > 3rd> 4th LED
Keep Button pressed for 5 sec.
Yellow LED4 blinks and goes off
End positions have now been cleared
Press / pull curtain towards close position, curtain will close automatically
Press / pull curtain towards open position, curtain will open automatically
Directly after stopping of the motor (at open position) the yellow LED(4) will light up. the open position can be adjusted to the desired position.
Wait until the yellow LED goes off, End positions are now stored into the memory of the motor.
2.3 Forest shuttle® configuration options¶
Additionaly to the above the Forest Shuttle® has the below configuration options. The configuration button and LED's can be located at the bottom of the curtain track motor.
Use a pin or pen to change settings in the configuration menu. Choose the setting you want to change (table below) and press the button that many times (corresponding with setting).LED's will cycle to indicate the amount of times pressed.

Confirm the desired setting by pressing the button for 5 seconds until the led blinks 3 times and goes OFF.
3. Pairing the Powerview® Remote to the Powerview® CT Transceiver¶
Adding the PV Transceiver CT to a remote can be done using the normal procedure for adding a shade to a remote. See Quickstart guide adding a shade to a remote
A Remote can control 6 groups of shades (which are the buttons 1 to 6). The instructions below assign a shade to group 1. Depending on your preference you can choose your own group.
This instruction will make use of the following buttons on the Remote:
Transceiver button on your curtain track transceiver dongle.
stop for 6 seconds.
Keep pressing until the remote lights start blinking.
This will activate the group 1 on the remote.

4. Transceiver dongle control button LED¶
The motor control button LED gives an indication of the motor status. The LED can flash RED, ORANGE or GREEN. Below is the overview of all possible combinations.

5. Additional technical notes¶
PV Transceiver behaviour after a power disconnection: A recalibration run for the forest shuttle is required after a power failure. Shuttle recalibration run starts automatically and always in close direction after first user operation command (manually or by PV command and regardless of selected operating direction). Recalibration run cannot be interrupted even with STOP command.
